Our Lancaster, OH Corporate Headquarters/ Recycling Facilities are where all consumer and Industrial NiCad, NiMH and Lead Acid batteries are processed. In Lancaster, we regularly manage and demanufacture Hybrid and Electric Vehicle batteries. The Lancaster campus, just 30 miles southeast of Columbus, Ohio maintains a Part B TSDF permit, issued by the Federal and Ohio EPA, authorizing our facility to manage all battery types and to process for metal reclamation NiCad, NiMH, Lead Acid, and Li-Ion batteries. Lancaster is home to the advanced large-format battery recycling lines, which was built-out using $9.5M in matching funds awarded by the Department of Energy to promote sustainable Hybrid and EV batteries. We're also proud to be one of only two facilities in North America to be recognized by the U.S. EPA as the Best Demonstrated Technology for cadmium recovery.
Our Trail, B.C. recycling facility in Canada is the only facility in the world that maintains processes under one roof, offering primary and secondary (rechargeable) Lithium and Li-Ion battery recycling. In addition, we have the expertise and capabilities to treat production scrap components generated from Lithium battery manufacturing. This facility also has the capability to treat scrap components generated from Lithium battery manufacturing. Retriev-Canada utilizes unique hydrometallurgical technologies to recycle your spent batteries and produce lithium and cobalt raw materials. The Trail facility maintains a hazardous waste treatment permit, issued by the Canadian Ministry of the Environment, authorizing the facility to manage all battery types and process lithium-based batteries for metal recovery.
Baltimore, OH features a Large Quantity Universal Waste Handling Facility that specializes in the sorting, identification, packaging and shipment of all battery types prior to recycling. Baltimore offers easy delivery options for loads of mixed batteries. Our on-site staff will sort and segregate shipments consisting of Alkaline, NiCad, NiMH, Lead Acid, Lithium as well as other less common battery types, and ensure proper disposition of all batteries to the ultimate recycling facility.
Located on the KBI campus (parent company), our Anaheim location is used as a West Coast consolidation point for all batteries destined for a Retriev recycling facility. We maintain an EPA and California DTSC issued Part B TSDF permit (in the name of KBI), authorizing the facility to manage all types of batteries. In addition, our permits authorize this location to process various types of Lead Acid batteries for metal reclamation.
